I've seen it used with stone laminated to it for reduced weigh counter tops on high end yachts. Our company has purchased premade table tops and doors with "Formica" laminated to it. They have a special extrusion that fits in the ends that finish it nicely. We also used it to build bench seats but the weight savings and time to assemble didn't compete with production stuff. It comes from the airline suppliers. Unicell was the brand located in California, we haven't used it for 5-6 years.

It's pretty stiff but repeated flexing caused the glue to separate. I played with it for a floor in a 12' flat bottom and it has delaminated. I also used it for bench seats in that boat, worked well with the ends edges capped with 1/8" channel, without the extra support it broke.

I think it's pretty much limited to non structural walls, counters and tables.

But this material is born for aviation and marine industry. Now it has been widely used for commercial application. To be honest,we are a manufacturer of this material in China, besides the stone lamination Aluminum Honeycomb Material,we just innovated a kind of Fiberglass aluminum honeycomb material, which is much lighter in weight, but more stiff and better in strength.
